During Oklahoma’s primary elections, a pro-cockfighting sheriff in Atoka County lost the election. Meanwhile, in Carter County, an anti-cockfighting sheriff was bested in a coin flip.
Animal rights group Animal Wellness Action, praised Hawaii’s police force for busting an illegal cockfight at Hawaiian Paradise Park. Despite that, the group also criticized Hawaii for being one of the weakest states against cockfighting.
